Dear colleagues,
we are all interested in finding the best way to treat patients with peritoneal surface malignancies. Cytoreductive surgery combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal and systemic chemotherapy represents a valid strategy for selected patients.
A lot has been learned over the last years. We have managed to reduce perioperative morbidity and mortality, and have achieved a consensus regarding different aspects of the treatment. However, we have not yet succeeded in initiating a second phase III trial; nonetheless some good protocols are in development.
This symposium will focus on many practical details, as well as several aspects of preclinical and clinical research, e.g. quality of life, imaging or molecular diagnosis.
Regensburg is a great city at this time of the year and we would be delighted to have you as our guests in June!
