DGAV certifications
With its initiatives in awarding certificates to surgical departments, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Allgemein- und Viszeralchirurgie (DGAV) aims to improve the quality in clinics and, at the same time, provide transparency. Its working groups have developed quality standards for specific surgical diseases and procedures according to scientific guidelines and clinical experience. A clinic that satisfies these criteria is able to prove the high quality of the surgery performed there.
Certifications are organizationally carried out by the SAVC GmbH (Servicegesellschaft Allgemein- und Viszeralchirurgie).
